Our goal with our Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is to showcase the growing year in the Willamette Valley as authentically and naturally as possible while completely over delivering on quality at the same time… The three vineyards we used for this blend complement each other perfectly with their diversity in terroir and flavor profiles.
Medici Vineyard Chehalem Mountains AVA (50%): Medici Vineyard is the red fruited backbone to the wine and adds a lot of the bright cherry flavors and forest floor aromas. From 39 year old Pommard clone Pinot Noir situated at 750 feet elevation.
Cancilla Vineyard Cherry Grove, Oregon(40%): Ken Cancilla organically farms his 20 acres meticulously all by himself. An ocean influenced vineyard on the northwest corner of the Willamette Valley AVA. His vineyard adds the minerality and acid backbone along with the freshness from whole cluster fermentations.
Fairsing Vineyard Yamhill-Carlton AVA (10%): Pure Y-C Pinot! Dark purple and blue fruits with mocha and espresso flavors and fine lengthy tannins. This adds the body and skeleton to the wine while adding the complexity of the darker fruit profile.
No fining/filtration. 11 months in 15% new wood. 11.9% alcohol
